Complaints

If something about our work together has not been right, I would rather hear about it.

Please talk to me first

If you feel able to, tell me directly — by email at liz@emdr-therapy.co.uk, or in a session. Often something can be put right once it is named, and I would always prefer the chance to try.

BACP also asks that you raise a concern with your therapist first where you can. If you make a formal complaint later, you will be asked how you tried to resolve it, or why that was not possible.

If that does not resolve it

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, registration 415570. BACP holds its members to its Ethical Framework, and has a Professional Conduct Procedure for complaints about a member's practice.

You can raise a concern if you are currently receiving therapy from me, or if you have done within the last three years.

To find out how, seeBACP's guidance for clients at bacp.co.uk, emailprofessional_conduct@bacp.co.uk, or write to:

Professional Conduct
BACP House, Unit 15
St John's Business Park
Lutterworth

Raising a concern with BACP will not affect any ongoing work between us.
